“Exploiting the combination of 3D polymer and ink-jet nanoparticle printing for innovative solutions” – Presented by Alfred Binder, CTR Carinthian Tech Research AG, at 3D Printing Electronics Conference, January 24, 2017, at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

The combination of 3D polymer and ink-jet nanoparticle printing techniques present a plausible solution for building 3D prototypes with integrated functional parts at zero tooling costs and fast customization rates. Test vehicles from the fields of electronic packaging and sensing will be presented to demonstrate the potential and remaining challenges of the technological approach.

About Alfred Binder
Graduated in Mechatronics at Johannes Kepler University Linz/Austria (Dipl.-Ing.) and Loughborugh University  (MSc.)/UK. Since 1999 he is engaged at CTR Carinthian Tech Research AG and since 2015 Area Manager for Heterogeneous Integration Technologies. The research focus of the group reaches from sensor research to integration and packaging technologies in close co-operation with industry.

About 3D Printing Electronics Conference
The 3D Printing Electronics Conference will focus on aspects related to 3D Printing Electronics, including combining functional elements such as electronics (sensors or switches) into a 3D printed product hybrid, processes that integrate electronics onto or within 3D printed parts, challenges and future prospects.

We are bringing together leading international specialists to explain why interest in 3D printed electronics is growing so fast.

Speakers from Technical University Chemnitz, CTR Carinthian Tech Research AG, Fraunhofer IPA, Luxexcel Group and Multiphoton Optics have already confirmed their presence.

Besides the conference, the event will also host an exhibition where several established companies as well as promising startups will show their innovative products and/or services.
